Job summary

BayPort Credit Union is seeking a Vault Teller in Yorktown, VA to provide quality member service by processing financial transactions and resolving questions. The role supports the Lead Teller in their absence and participates in vault and ATM balancing, as well as branch opening/closing procedures.

Qualifications include a high school diploma and 1–2 years of teller experience, with strong cash handling, customer service, and computer skills.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
1-2 years Teller or related experience preferred.
Strong cash handling skills with high accuracy.
Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
Excellent customer service and telephone communication skills.

Responsibilities

Process members’ financial transactions and resolve questions about products and services.
Provide quality service in the drive-thru and walk-up areas while following teller policies.
Assist with cash received/disbursed from vault and handling of all instruments.
Balance vault, ATM, and cash dispensing machines; review out-of-balance conditions.
Complete monthly cash drawer audits and vault reconciliations as required.
Handle complex member inquiries, transactions, and corrections.
Perform opening and closing procedures for the branch.
