Job summary

Indiana University in Bloomington seeks a Vault Assistant Manager to lead daily operations at The Vault, ensuring exceptional guest service and financial oversight. You will hire, train, schedule, and coach service staff while fostering a positive, collaborative environment and supporting department initiatives.

You’ll oversee food and beverage service standards, inventory, purchasing, and compliance, including alcohol management, and may work late nights or attend university events as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of leadership experience in food services.
• ServSafe certification required within 180 days of hire.
• Bartending experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day food and beverage service operations.
• Participate in inventory management, purchasing, and cost control while ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Serve as primary leader for alcohol service operations and ensure proper training.
• Assist with management, administration, and production for IU Dining and Hospitality.
• Schedule and supervise staff and provide customer service oversight.
• Monitor preparation and service of meals and oversee purchasing and production.
• Support budget preparation, inventory control, and analysis of financial reports.
• Rotate promotions and assist with brand management.
