AdventHealth in Orlando, FL is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound studies for radiologist interpretation. The role involves patient education, image acquisition, and strict adherence to safety and infection control protocols.

PRN schedule with day shifts, involvement in a multi-disciplinary team, and utilization of EMR/PACS for documentation. Prior experience in vascular and abdominal imaging is preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of ultrasound physics and anatomy to perform independent procedures to Radiologist standards.
• Proficiency with PACS and radiology software is required.
• Excellent patient care and communication skills across age groups are essential.

Responsibilities

• Acquires and analyzes ultrasound images and data for radiologist interpretation.
• Sterilizes transducers and maintains hygiene and safety standards.
• Performs high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams per orders and protocols.
• Maintains accurate documentation in EMR and PACS.
• Educates patients about the exam and ensures timely completion.
• Operates imaging equipment safely and adapts protocols for all ages.
• Follows infection control and PPE procedures.
• Reviews patient history to confirm exam appropriateness.
• Positions patients and equipment to optimize image quality.
• Collaborates with radiologists and healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
