Job summary

The Vascular Technologist at Carle Health performs a full range of vascular ultrasound exams using ultrasound equipment and testing modalities in accordance with physician orders and established protocols.

The role requires BLS, RVT‑VT and RVS certifications and an Associate’s Degree in Sonography, with flexibility to rotate to off-site locations and to take call during holidays, nights, and weekends as needed to support patient care.

Qualifications

• BLS certification within 30 days (AHA).
• RVT-VT certification with ARDMS/CCI as applicable.
• RVS certification with ARDMS/CCI as applicable.
• Associate degree in Sonography (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Cross-trains to other divisions of CV Services.
• Demonstrates imaging quality by critiquing positioning and factors.
• Reviews patient data for accuracy, quality and completeness.
• Performs routine and complex vascular ultrasound imaging per physician orders and protocols.
• Rotate to off-site mobile locations to serve patients with local testing availability and take call during holidays, nights, and weekends.
