Job summary

University of Maryland Medical System BWMC is seeking a Vascular Surgery APP to join a highly skilled clinical team, collaborating with vascular surgeons to manage complex patients across care continuum. You will provide inpatient/outpatient consults, pre/post-procedural care, and contribute to care coordination within a supportive, physician-led model.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Maryland (or eligibility).
• National certification as an NP (Family, Adult, or Acute Care) or NCCPA certification for Physician Assistants.
• Clinical experience in surgery, interventional radiology, cardiology, or acute care is strongly preferred.
• Ability to manage complex, high-acuity patients in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Managing inpatient and outpatient vascular consults and follow-ups.
• Providing pre- and post-procedural patient care, assessment, and education.
• Collaborating with physicians, APP peers, and clinical staff in a supportive environment.
• Supporting care coordination and clinical decision-making for high-acuity patients.
• Contributing to quality, safety, and process improvement initiatives.
