Job summary

University of Maryland Medical System BWMC is seeking a Vascular Surgery APP to join a highly skilled clinical team, collaborating with vascular surgeons to manage complex patients across care continuum. You will provide inpatient/outpatient consults, pre/post-procedural care, and contribute to care coordination within a supportive, physician-led model.

Qualifications

  • Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Maryland (or eligibility).
  • National certification as an NP (Family, Adult, or Acute Care) or NCCPA certification for Physician Assistants.
  • Clinical experience in surgery, interventional radiology, cardiology, or acute care is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to manage complex, high-acuity patients in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

As a Vascular Surgery APP, you’ll join a highly skilled, supportive clinical team with strong physician and peer collaboration, dedicated to delivering exceptional patient-centered vascular care.

What You’ll Do

You’ll work closely with vascular surgeons and the interdisciplinary care team to manage complex vascular patients across the continuum of care.

Responsibilities Include
  • Managing inpatient and outpatient vascular consults and follow-ups
  • Providing pre-and post-procedural patient care, assessment, and education
  • Collaborating closely with physicians, APP peers, and clinical staff in a highly supportive environment
  • Supporting care coordination and clinical decision-making for high-acuity patients
  • Contributing to quality, safety, and process improvement initiatives
Schedule

This is a full-time weekday position with a consistent schedule:

  • Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM-4:00 PM
  • No call
  • No routine nights or weekends
  • In addition to working at BWMC, providers (both APPs and physicians) may rotate to outpatient office locations in Queenstown and Easton, with a new Annapolis location coming soon, to support patient access and continuity of care.
