Job summary

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse for the Vascular Intermediate Care Unit (nine Kaufman) in Norfolk, VA. This 9-bed stepdown unit focuses on vascular surgery, telemetry, and transplant care, with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio and opportunities for advance training and PCCN certification.

Shifts are 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. or 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m., with 36 hours per week and every-other-weekend coverage.

Responsibilities

• Care for patients on a 24-bed vascular stepdown unit with telemetry
• Support renal/pancreas transplant care as part of the Surgical Specialty Team
• Engage in training and pursue PCCN certification as encouraged by the unit
