$45.43 - $61.33 (Hourly Rate). Placement depends on experience, internal equity and union guidelines.

Description

The Vascular Sonographer will oversee locations at CDH (Winfield), Delnor (Geneva) and Oakbrook. This role reflects the mission, vision and values of Northwestern Medicine and complies with all relevant policies and regulatory standards.

• Select transducer and adjust equipment controls.
• Enter test data and patient information into the computer.
• Move transducer over the specified area to monitor image quality.
• Produce images and record diagnostic data.
• Perform quality control checks.
• Determine physician orders and perform procedures accordingly.
• Explain the test, instruct the patient, and provide post‑exam instructions.
• Maintain QC logs and service records.
• Utilize Epic system functions within job responsibilities.
• Stay informed of Epic system updates and implement them.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• Ultrasound Technician Certificate from an accredited school.
• Certified Registered Vascular Tech.
• CERT BLS.

Behavioral Attributes:

• Basic computer knowledge.

Preferred:

• Graduate of an AMA-approved training program in ultrasonography.
• Registered Vascular Tech.
