Job Title: Ultrasound Sonographer
As an Ultrasound Sonographer, you will perform vascular ultrasound examinations of patients' lower extremities and other studies as needed. Your responsibilities include balancing patient needs with maintaining an efficient workflow and ensuring an excellent service experience for patients.
This full-time position works Monday through Friday and is flexible across multiple locations including Brookhaven, Midtown, Decatur, Lawrenceville, Alpharetta, Marietta, Austell, and Kennesaw.
Responsibilities
- Perform ultrasound examinations to create Venous Flow Maps for treatment planning.
- Assist physicians in explaining treatment plans to patients.
- Set up and clean exam rooms and ultrasound rooms before and after procedures.
- Conduct additional ultrasound examinations as prescribed by physicians to ensure safety and effectiveness of treatments.
- Maintain standard time allotments for each ultrasound exam to ensure smooth patient flow.
- Coordinate with office staff, administrative staff, and physicians to ensure ultrasound services are available and patient care is optimized.
- Maintain and develop skills through continued education and interaction with colleagues.
- Manage equipment maintenance and supply inventory.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited Ultrasound program (Required).
- Registered Vascular Technologist, Vascular Specialist, or Phlebology Sonographer (RVT / RVS / RpHS), or ability to obtain certification within 60 days of hire (Required).
- Experience with uterine fibroid scans or willingness to learn.
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
