Registered Vascular Technologist

Job description

As a Registered Vascular Technologist, you would perform vascular ultrasound examinations of a patient's lower extremities (and other studies as needed), balancing patient needs and maintaining an efficient workflow in the office. You would also ensure that patients receive an excellent service experience.

This position is full-time, Monday-Friday, at our Indianapolis clinic. Travel outside Indiana for training is required during the first 2-4 weeks.

Responsibilities

1. Perform ultrasound examinations to create a Venous Flow Map for treatment planning.
2. Assist physicians in explaining treatment plans to patients.
3. Set up and clean procedure and ultrasound rooms before and after each patient.
4. Perform additional ultrasound exams as required by the physician's treatment plan.
5. Adhere to standard time allotments for each ultrasound exam to ensure smooth patient flow.
6. Coordinate with office staff and physicians to review ultrasound schedules, ensuring availability of technicians and maintaining patient care quality.
7. Maintain and develop skills through continued education and interaction with other technologists.
8. Manage equipment and supply inventory to ensure effective operations.
9. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

1. Completion certificate from an accredited ultrasound program.
2. Registered Vascular Technologist, Vascular Specialist, or Phlebology Sonographer (RVT/RVS/RpHS).
3. Cultural sensitivity and excellent patient care skills.
4. Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
5. Strong multitasking, prioritization, and team skills.

This position is full-time, Monday-Friday, at our Indianapolis location. Travel outside Indiana for training is required during the first 2-4 weeks.
