Job summary

Barnes-Jewish Hospital at Washington University Medical Center in Missouri seeks a perioperative RN to join a fast-paced team, supporting vascular, cardiac, thoracic, and transplant cases with minimally invasive and robotic techniques.

The role emphasizes patient- and family-centered care, safety, and ongoing professional growth. BSN preferred; AD-N considered. Three 12-hour shifts, a structured orientation, and a comprehensive benefits package are provided.

Qualifications

• Nursing diploma or associate degree required.
• RN license required.
• BSN preferred; AD-N considered.

Responsibilities

• Promotes patient- and family-centered care in a healing environment and educates on care, home needs and medication administration.
• Participates in safety, quality and regulatory activities and professional development.
• Develops and documents individualized care plans with interprofessional teams and communicates across the continuum.
• Assesses physical, psychosocial, emotional needs and respects patient values and cultural considerations.
• Works in a safety-sensitive environment, maintaining alertness and safe practices.
