Job summary

Barnes-Jewish Hospital at Washington University Medical Center is a leading Missouri teaching hospital with Magnet recognition. This Staff Nurse (RN) role sits in the fast-paced Division 7500/75PCU, focusing on complex cardiovascular surgery patients and post-operative care.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team and be trained in critical care with BLS, ACLS, arterial line monitoring, and pacer wires.

Qualifications

• RN license required or eligible.
• Nursing degree with clinical rotations or acute care experience preferred.
• BLS/ACLS certified and trained in arterial line monitoring and pacer wires.

Responsibilities

• Promotes patient- and family-centered care in a healing environment.
• Educates patients and families on post-treatment home care and medication administration.
• Participates in activities that promote patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance.
• Develops, implements, and documents care plans with defined goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team.
• Assess patients' physical, psychosocial, emotional, and cultural needs to guide care.
