Job summary

Barnes-Jewish Hospital at Washington University Medical Center in Missouri seeks an experienced perioperative nurse to join a Level I trauma program. The role includes acute critical care surgery/trauma coverage across multiple ORs with self-scheduling on 3/12-hour shifts, and a focus on patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment.

BSN is preferred; AD-N candidates will be considered. Bonus eligibility and student loan repayment support are offered along with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required.
• Minimum Nursing Diploma or Associate's degree.
• BSN preferred; AD-N candidates will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Promotes patient- and family-centered care and educates on post-treatment care needs.
• Participates in patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance; engages in professional development.
• Develops and documents individualized plans of care with goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team and patient/family.
• Assesses physical, psychosocial, cultural needs and patient preferences.
• Safety-sensitive position requiring constant alertness and safe performance of duties.
