Job summary

BayCare Health System is hiring a Vascular Interventional Radiology Technologist (VI Tech) for multiple locations in Florida, including Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater, St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa, and St. Anthony's Hospital in St. Petersburg.

The VI Technologist will assist radiologists during interventional procedures, operate x-ray/ultrasound equipment, and manage RIS data and patient imaging records. BayCare offers competitive benefits and sign-on potential.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required.
• ARRT VI specialty certification to be obtained within 12 months of employment.
• Florida radiology license required.
• Technical Diploma or Associate Degree in Radiology.
• Minimum 1 year radiology experience; vascular experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist radiologist with patient care during interventional procedures.
• Operate and maintain diagnostic x-ray and ultrasound equipment.
• Manage imaging records, RIS data, and related clerical tasks.

Invasive Vascular Radiology Technologist Responsibilities:

• The Invasive Vascular Radiology Technologist assists radiologist with all aspects of patient care during diagnostic and therapeutic interventional procedures.
• Operates and maintains diagnostic x-ray and ultrasound equipment in the performance of patient care.
• Responsible for all duties related to imaging patient care, RIS data management, file room, general clerical, physician assistance, patient transportation and other related duties as necessary.

Requirements:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ARRT (Radiologic Technologists) - Must obtain Vascular Interventional (VI) Specialty certification within 12 months of employment
• Radiology – State of Florida
• Technical Diploma (Radiology) OR Associates Degree – Radiology
• 1 year Radiology experience; 1 year Vascular Preferred
