Job summary

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA is hiring full-time Registered Nurses for our Vascular Stepdown Intermediate Care unit (9 Kaufman), home to Hampton Roads’ only Level I Trauma Center.

You will work day or night shifts, 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. or 7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m., with every other weekend and holiday rotation. New grads are welcome to apply; sign-on bonus up to $20,000 and relocation assistance are available.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Registered Nursing required.
• BSN or MSN preferred.
• Registered Nurse license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care per the nursing process with critical thinking.
• Deliver care on the vascular stepdown unit focusing on telemetry and transplant-related needs.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
• Participate in orientation programs and PCCN certification opportunities.
