Job summary

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is hiring full-time Registered Nurses for the Vascular Stepdown Intermediate Care Unit (9K), offering a 36-hour week with day or night shifts in Norfolk, VA.

The unit specializes in vascular surgery, telemetry, and renal/pancreas transplant care. New grads are welcome, with a comprehensive 11-week Transition to Practice program and a 6-month residency to support practice, learning, and PCCN certification pursuit.

Qualifications

• RN license in the state.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide competent nursing care on a vascular IMC/stepdown unit.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-acuity care.
• Monitor patient status with telemetry and adapt care plans accordingly.
• Support new graduates through orientation and transition programs when applicable.
