Job summary

The Vascular Care Group in Worcester, MA seeks a Cath Lab/Office-Based Lab Nurse to support nursing services in a vascular outpatient setting. You will collaborate with leadership to manage clinical and patient care aspects while operating within Massachusetts Board of Nursing statutes.

The role reports to the Office Manager operationally and to the Lead Procedural Nurse clinically. Compensation ranges from $41–$60 per hour with negotiable terms based on experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of professional nursing, minimum of BSN.
• Registered as a nurse in the state of Massachusetts.
• BLS and ACLS certification.
• ICU or ED experience a must.
• PACU experience helpful.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions precisely.
• Willing to be available for local and/or regional assignments as needed.
• Ability to communicate with patients, visitors and employees within the organization.
• Ability to adequately use the department’s computerized system and its associated devices.

Responsibilities

• Uphold the standards of AAAASF.
• Assist daily operations of the outpatient endovascular center; review scheduled cases ahead of time; maintain infection control; stock medications, supplies and equipment; ensure the center is adequately staffed; ensure safety standards are maintained; maintain patient and narcotic logs.
• Oversee patient experience from pre-procedure to discharge; ensure timely pre-procedure calls and post-procedure callbacks within 24 hours; maintain comprehensive patient records including medical history; observe vital signs during procedures; maintain filing system for patient records; ensure comfort of patient support systems in center; assist with QA and safety programs; ensure equipment is maintained per AAAASF standards.
