Job summary

Atrium Health is seeking a Registered Nurse expert in vascular access to support Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center's Catheter Care unit. Responsibilities include applying the nursing process, monitoring patients, and collaborating with the care team to optimize outcomes.

Requires RN licensure, BLS, and strong experience with PICCs/Midlines; ultrasound experience preferred. May float to other units and perform device insertions and patient education.

Qualifications

• RN license in North Carolina or eligible to practice in state with privileges to provide client nursing services.
• BLS certification required; VA-BC certification to be obtained after 2 years of experience.
• 3 years of clinical nursing experience; ultrasound experience and PICC/midline insertion preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engages in professional governance and quality initiatives to improve care processes.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Monitor patient conditions, adjust care plans, and collaborate with the care team.
• Uphold safety and maintain timely EHR documentation.
• May administer medications and therapies per protocol; delegate appropriately.
• Float to other units as needed to meet patient needs.
