Job summary

Los Angeles Community Hospitals is seeking a Vascular Access RN to perform PICC Line or Midline insertions and to lead nursing practices related to Vascular Access. The role includes mentoring new graduates and supporting staff, while delivering compassionate patient care.

You will collaborate with the healthcare team, document assessments and plans of care, and ensure infection control and HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• Active, current, and unencumbered RN licensure in CA.
• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• AHA Basic Life Support.
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to maintain flexibility in a changing environment.
• Hospital Fire and Life Safety Card (Los Angeles City Employees only).
• AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
• 6 months recent Vascular Access RN experience or 2+ years RN in acute care.

Responsibilities

• Inserts PICC lines or Midlines per physician orders and uses ultrasound as needed.
• Provide patient care that is safe, effective and age-appropriate.
• Assess, plan, intervene and advocate for patients.
• Mentor and support new graduates and staff.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure high-quality care.
• Ensure infection control procedures and HIPAA compliance.
