Job summary

MU Health Care is seeking a compassionate registered nurse for the Vascular Access department. You will assess patient needs, set goals, and coordinate discharge planning while delivering holistic, evidence-based care.

You will monitor pain, educate patients about medications, and collaborate with physicians and the nursing team to ensure optimal outcomes. The role involves rotating shifts and holiday coverage in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Missouri Board of Nursing RN license or Nurse Licensure Compact RN required.
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience.
• Must apply under new state of residency within 30 days when residency changes.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition and nursing needs; set goals and discharge planning.
• Assess, intervene and reassess pain using 0-10 scale, FACES, or FLACC.
• Educate patients and families about medications.
