Job summary

Endeavor Health--Evanston Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Vascular Access Team. This full-time role supports evening and day shifts, with 8- or 10-hour shifts and staggered start times.

You will provide safe, compassionate nursing care on a dedicated unit, perform PICC insertions within 6 months, and collaborate across the care team to improve patient outcomes. IL RN license and BLS required; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• IL RN license required.
• Graduate of NLN-accredited nursing program; BSN strongly preferred.
• BLS/CPR certification required.
• 3+ years' experience in a comparable role preferred; PICC insertion certification within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Independently provide safe, effective nursing care for a patient population on a specific unit.
• Utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care.
• Guide and direct assigned unlicensed assistive personnel in delivering interdisciplinary patient care.
• Communicate and collaborate with healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care.
• Contribute to safety outcomes and promote high quality patient experience.
