Job summary

Fairview Health Services is seeking a Vascular Access Clinical Specialist to advance vascular access practice and education across Fairview Home Infusion. You will lead learning programs, validate competencies, mentor staff, and collaborate with nursing leadership to raise care quality.

You will perform advanced vascular access procedures within scope, support onboarding, and promote certification in vascular access. This role is based in Shoreview, MN and offers a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required and MN RN license.
5 years nursing experience.
3 years vascular access experience.
Experience placing, managing and troubleshooting vascular access devices.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
VA-BC or CRNI certification within 1 year.

Responsibilities

Learning facilitator: serves as SME for vascular access education.
Identifies practice gaps and promotes standardization of care.
Mentor: provides clinical mentoring and onboarding support.
Leads collaboration with nursing leadership to advance practice.
Conducts competency validation and promotes certification in vascular access.
Assesses patients’ vascular access needs and advises on access strategies.
Performs advanced peripheral IV and ultrasound-guided vascular access within scope.
