Job summary

Babson College is seeking an Assistant Athletic Coach for Men's & Women's Tennis. This role supports the varsity program within the Department of Athletics and Recreation, reporting to the Head Coach and working in a fast-paced college athletic environment.

The successful candidate will help plan practices, assist in scouting and recruiting, review film, and ensure compliance with NCAA and Babson policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 1–3 years of coaching experience preferred.
• Hepatitis B vaccination and OSHA training required; maintain throughout employment.
• Current certification in First Aid, CPR, and AED required.
• Strong communication skills.
• Compliance with NCAA, NEWMAC, and Babson College rules.
• Commitment to diversity and inclusion in staff and student‑athletes.
• Ability to adapt to changing conditions and propose new methods.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and coaching practice sessions and games as directed by head coach.
• Support scouting opponents to prepare and evaluate practice sessions.
• Help recruit student athletes, including contacting coaches and distributing recruiting information.
• Review and share film with coaches and athletes and make recommendations.
• Complete institutional trainings as assigned (e.g., Clery Act, NCAA violence prevention).
