Job summary

Babson College is seeking a Head Coach for Women’s Tennis to lead all aspects of the program, recruit student-athletes, and coordinate practices and competitions. The role entails budgeting oversight, mentorship, and collaboration with athletics leadership.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree and 4–6 years of relevant coaching experience, plus safety certifications and compliance with NCAA and Babson rules. Travel for events and evening/weekend work are expected.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required and 4–6 years coaching experience.
  • Compliance with NCAA, NEWMAC and Babson College rules is required.
  • Current safety certifications (CPR/First Aid/AED) and Concussion recognition training required or within first three months of employment.
  • Blood Bourne Pathogen training per OSHA regulations; maintained yearly.

Responsibilities

  • Administers Women’s Tennis and coordinates all related activities including recruiting, scheduling, practice sessions, and equipment purchases.
  • Plans and coaches practice sessions and games; teaches advanced-level skills and game strategies.
  • Identifies and recruits qualified student-athletes.
  • Counsels students on academic and sport-related matters and refers to appropriate sources.
