Job summary

Propel Schools is seeking a Head Varsity Bowling Coach for the 26-27 season across Propel Andrew Street High School, Propel Braddock Hills High School, and Propel Montour High School. The role requires varsity/jr.

varsity coaching experience, and candidates should be prepared to collaborate with the athletic director and staff to build a successful program. Season runs from November to February with a $2,000 seasonal stipend ( prorated if starting after season start).

Qualifications

• Prior Varsity or Junior Varsity coaching experience.
• Experience as a head coach or assistant coach.
• Ability to build a successful varsity program.
• Experience implementing off-season programs in accordance with regulations.
• Willingness to attend PIAA preseason coaching meetings and trainings.
• High level of personal organization and planning.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Commitment to Propel Habits.

Responsibilities

• Support the Varsity program with the athletic director and other coaching staff.
• Attend all required PIAA preseason coaching meetings and mandatory trainings.
• Implement off-season programs in compliance with regulations.
• Demonstrate high level of organization and planning in scholastic athletics.
• Foster strong communication and positive relationships within the program.

Opportunity:

Propel Schools is seeking an Head Varsity Bowling Coach for the 26-27 season starting this winter:

• Propel Andrew Street High School
• Propel Braddock Hills High School
• Propel Montour High School

Successful candidates will have:

• Prior Varsity or Junior Varsity coaching experience
• Preferred candidates will have experience as a head coach or assistant coach, playing experience, as well as the demonstrated ability to build a successful program starting at the varsity level
• Responsibility for supporting the Varsity program with the athletic director and other coaching staff
• Experience implementing off-season programs in accordance with WPIAL/PIAA regulations.
• Willingness and ability to attend all required PIAA preseason coaching meetings and mandatory coaching certification/trainings in compliance with PIA A regulations.
• High level of personal organization and planning
• Strong communication and relationship building skills
• Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development
• A commitment to the Propel Habits

Season Information:

• The 2026-2027 Varsity Bowling Season is scheduled to begin in November and is anticipated to conclude in February, although the season may end earlier/later depending on if the team participates in postseason.
• This position includes a seasonal stipend of $2,000. Please note that the stipend will be prorated for coaches who begin after the official start of the season.
