Job summary

Propel Schools is looking for a Head Varsity Bowling Coach for the 2026-2027 season starting this winter. This role will support the Varsity program while working closely with the athletic director and coaching staff. Candidates should have prior coaching experience and strong communication skills.

• Propel Andrew Street High School
• Propel Braddock Hills High School
• Propel Montour High School

Qualifications

• Prior Varsity or Junior Varsity coaching experience
• Preferred candidates will have experience as a head coach or assistant coach, playing experience, as well as the demonstrated ability to build a successful program starting at the varsity level
• Responsibility for supporting the Varsity program with the athletic director and other coaching staff
• Experience implementing off-season programs in accordance with WPIAL/PIAA regulations.
• Willingness and ability to attend all required PIAA preseason coaching meetings and mandatory coaching certification/trainings in compliance with PIAA regulations.
• High level of personal organization and planning
• Strong communication and relationship building skills
• Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development
• A commitment to the Propel Habits

Season Information

• The 2026-2027 Varsity Bowling Season is scheduled to begin in November and is anticipated to conclude in February, although the season may end earlier/later depending on if the team participates in postseason.
• This position includes a seasonal stipend of $2,000. Please note that the stipend will be prorated for coaches who begin after the official start of the season.

• Act 34 Criminal Clearance
• Act 114 FBI Clearance
• Act 151 Child Abuse Clearance
• Mandated Reporter Training

Education

Associates or better.

Experience

Proven experience as a coach on the youth and/or interscholastic levels.
