Job summary

The McKeesport Area School District's McKeesport Senior High School is seeking a Boys Varsity Baseball Head Coach to lead the program, oversee practices, and develop student-athletes on and off the field.

Qualifications

• Previous successful baseball coaching experience is preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of baseball fundamentals, strategy, skill development, and conditioning.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to establish positive relationships with students, parents, staff, and community members.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and supervise all aspects of the varsity baseball program.
• Develop a program philosophy that aligns with the district’s mission.
• Foster a culture of integrity, accountability, respect, and sportsmanship.
• Coordinate with middle and junior varsity coaches to promote continuity.
• Plan and conduct organized, safe practices and teach baseball skills.
• Develop game strategies and manage player selections and playing time.
• Promote academic success and monitor student-athlete eligibility.
• Serve as a positive mentor and role model for student-athletes.
• Ensure compliance with district policies and athletic regulations.
• Maintain open communication with athletes, parents, administration, and staff.
