Job summary

Springside Chestnut Hill Academy seeks a varsity baseball head coach to lead the Upper School program, from 6th grade through 12th, including JV and Middle School components. Reporting to the Director of Athletics, you will develop players, recruit talent, and plan practices and games March through early June.

The ideal candidate has prior high school or travel club coaching experience, strong leadership, and a passion for education and athletics.

Qualifications

Previous high school or travel club coaching experience.
Experience as a head coach is preferred.
Independent school experience is a plus.
Collegiate coaching experience is preferred but not required.
Passion for baseball and academic support for students.

Responsibilities

Provide vision and coaching philosophy promoting work ethic, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
Communicate expectations to players, parents, and stakeholders.
Oversee baseball program from 6th through 12th grade including JV and Middle School.
Recruit student-athletes for SCH and college opportunities.
Supervise and mentor assistant coaches.
Plan tryouts and practices with effective teaching methods.
Ensure safe, competitive environment and adherence to SCH policies.
Maintain communication with the Director of Athletics throughout the season.
