Job summary

Arc Broward is seeking a Van Driver for the Adult Day Program. Per Diem shifts are available from 6:00am-9:00am or 3:00pm-6:00pm, with a pay rate of $15.00/hr. The role focuses on transporting participants safely, maintaining documentation, and supervising individuals during transport, loading, and unloading.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, a valid Florida driver’s license, and background checks. Prior experience with transportation for people with disabilities is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transport participants to and from the Adult Day Program in a safe, timely manner.
• Maintain and complete accurate service documentation.
• Provide direct supervision to ensure health and safety during loading/unloading and transport.
• Conduct vehicle inspections as prescribed and ensure cleanliness of vehicles.
• Report vehicle concerns in accordance with agency procedures.

About the Role: Van Driver

• Transport participants to and from the Adult Day Program in a safe and timely manner.
• Maintain and complete accurate and thorough service documentation.
• Provide direct supervision of individuals to ensure their health and safety while loading/unloading the vehicles and while being transported.
• Adequately conduct inspections of the vehicles as prescribed.
• Ensure that vehicles are generally maintained in a clean manner.
• Report any vehicle concerns in accordance with agency procedures.

What are the requirements?

• High School Diploma or GED
• Professional experience providing transportation services to children or adults with disabilities preferred.
• Valid FL driver’s license and successful Level II background check, physical and drug screen.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
