Job summary

Arc Broward in Broward County, FL is seeking a Van Driver for the Adult Day Program. This role supports participants by transporting them safely to and from the program and by helping maintain a welcoming, safe environment during loading and unloading.

The position offers per diem shifts (M-F 6:00am-9:00am or 3:00pm-6:00pm) with paid training, competitive pay at $17.00 per hour, and benefits including retirement matching, an employee assistance program, and ongoing professional development

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid FL driver’s license and successful Level II background check, physical and drug screen.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Professional experience providing transportation services to individuals with disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transport participants to and from the Adult Day Program in a safe and timely manner.
• Maintain and complete accurate and thorough service documentation.
• Provide direct supervision of individuals to ensure their health and safety while loading/unloading the vehicles and while being transported.
• Adequately conduct inspections of the vehicles as prescribed.
• Ensure that vehicles are generally maintained in a clean manner.
• Report any vehicle concerns in accordance with agency procedures.
