Job summary

Arc Broward's School of Hire Program seeks a proactive Hire Education Associate to help youth overcome barriers and build brighter futures. You will drive students to community sites, support self-advocacy, and assist the ESE teacher with lesson plans.

The role involves working directly with students to advance their goals and supervising work-skill coaching at local business sites. Full-time, M–F, 8:30am–4:30pm in Florida, pay rate $17.30/hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of experience supporting youth with disabilities.
• Valid FL driver's license and Level II background check, physical and drug screen.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Drives students to various community sites during the school day.
• Supports the students’ self-advocacy.
• Assists the ESE teacher in implementing lesson plans.
• Works directly with students to make progress on their goals.
