Job summary

BlueRidge Vista is seeking a dedicated Van Driver to transport patients between facilities, appointments and aftercare providers with dignity and on time. You will help patients arrive for care while contributing steady energy and teamwork during busy hours.

The role requires a valid driver''s license, clean driving record, and ability to lift 30 lbs. CDL endorsement is a plus. This full-time position offers comprehensive benefits and a supportive team in the region.

Qualifications

• Valid driver''s license with clean record; CDL/passenger endorsement preferred.
• Healthcare or paratransit experience a plus.
• Ability to lift 30 lbs and assist patients safely.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients between facilities, appointments, and aftercare providers following approved routes.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections; maintain cleanliness and readiness of vehicles.
• Practice defensive driving and compassionate customer service; follow HIPAA and safety protocols.
• Assist patients with mobility and safe entry/exit as needed.
• Coordinate with rounding providers and daytime interdisciplinary teams to keep care plans moving.
• Support safe discharges and smooth handoffs to evening/night teams.
