Job summary

Encompass Health Corporation is seeking a Van Driver to support our hospital by transporting patients and assisting staff, families, and visitors with a friendly, professional presence. You will help maintain safe, timely patient transport and contribute to high-quality care in a community-focused setting.

This full-time role offers a supportive team, opportunities for growth, and benefits designed to keep our patients and colleagues safe and cared for while delivering dependable transport

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license appropriate for the heaviest class vehicle to be driven.
• CPR and First Aid Training.
• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous transportation experience required.
• Must be 25 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Operates transportation vehicles in a safe manner and complies with all traffic laws.
• Maintains appearance of vehicle; promptly reports vehicle maintenance needs to supervisor/designee.
• Performs daily and weekly vehicle inspections.
• Lifts and transfers patients appropriately; applies all safety equipment.
• Performs CPR and/or handles any patient emergency.
