Job summary

Ivory Wellness Center is seeking a reliable Van Driver to join our nursing team and ensure timely, safe transportation for residents. You will represent our company with professional service, assist residents in and out of vehicles, and support daily transport activities.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, a PA CDL P endorsement with minimal moving violations, and the ability to lift 25 lbs. Prior driving experience and strong customer service are essential for this role.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Minimum of three years driving experience required.
  • Valid PA CDL P endorsements with no more than two moving violations in the past three years.
  • Must be able to lift 25 lbs and perform physical tasks.
  • Must be able to type and use a computer.
  • Excellent driving and vehicle safety knowledge required.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a 7 to 14+ passenger vehicle safely.
  • Assist residents with entering and leaving the vehicle.
  • Assist with baggage as needed.
  • Transport residents to appointments and activities.
  • Perform routine vehicle maintenance and safety checks.
  • Maintain documentation for appointments and deliveries.

Van Driver
Overview

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Van Driver to join our dynamic nursing team! As a Van Driver, you will play a vital role in ensuring timely, safe, and efficient transportation to for our residents. This position offers an energetic work environment where your driving skills, customer service expertise, and physical strength will shine. You’ll be the friendly face representing our company while handling various transportation tasks with enthusiasm and professionalism.

Responsibilities
  • Perform all duties and responsibilities with a positive attitude.
  • Operates a 7 to 14+ passenger vehicle.
  • Ensure vehicle(s) are always ready for transport. This includes but is not limited to: safety checks, first aid supplies and updated resident emergency information sheets.
  • Assist the residents with entering and leaving the vehicle.
  • Assist with baggage as needed.
  • Enforces safety rules when traveling.
  • Secures all necessary paperwork for appointments and delivers paperwork to appropriate persons.
  • Transports residents to and from appointments, group activities, and other destinations.
  • Services the vehicle with fuel, oil, necessary fluids and maintains vehicle in a clean and sanitary condition.
  • Performs emergency repairs as needed.
  • Attends required in-services and orientation.
  • Responds to residents request and other duties as requested.
  • Assist in planning, developing, organizing and implementation of all residence transport activities.
Experience
  • Focused and dedicated to provide excellent customer service
  • Requires excellent driving skills and knowledge of servicing an automobile.
  • The ability to communicate in English both orally and in writing is required.
  • Requires frequent lifting, bending and stretching.
  • The ability to handle emergency situations calmly and completely is essential.
  • Education: High school diploma or GED is preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of three-years driving experience is required.
  • Certificates/Licenses: A valid drivers license in PA CDL P endorsments is required. No more than two moving violations in a three-year period on the driving record as determined by your facilities insurance broker
  • Physical Demands:
  • Finger and hand dexterity to handle and manipulate instruments and equipment.
  • Visual and auditory acuity.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of (25) lbs. and be able to carry objects.
  • Must be able to push and pull carts, and continuously walk, sit and stand.
  • Must be able to turn, crouch, kneel, stoop, bend below waist, and reach above shoulder height as tasks dictate.
  • Must use good body mechanics.
  • Must be able to type and use a computer.
