Lynx EMS is seeking a dependable Wheelchair Van Driver in Cincinnati to provide safe, compassionate transportation for patients to medical appointments, dialysis, and hospital discharges. The role emphasizes timeliness, safety, and patient dignity on daytime routes.

You will work with dispatch and healthcare providers to coordinate arrivals, while maintaining a professional appearance and strong customer service. Prior medical transport experience is a plus, but not required.

Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to safely assist patients in and out of the vehicle using proper body mechanics.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.

  • Ability to manage a structured daytime schedule with reliability and punctuality.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a wheelchair-accessible van during scheduled daytime routes.
  • Transport patients to and from medical appointments, hospitals, dialysis centers, rehabilitation facilities, and other healthcare locations.
  • Assist patients in and out of the vehicle using proper lifting, securement, and safety procedures; ensure all wheelchairs and mobility devices are properly secured before transport.
  • Provide courteous, respectful, and compassionate service to patients and families.
  • Maintain punctuality and efficient time management throughout assigned routes.
  • Perform daily vehicle inspections to ensure safety and operational readiness.
  • Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized vehicle interior.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and healthcare providers regarding arrival times, delays, or special transport needs.
  • Adhere strictly to safety protocols, HIPAA guidelines, company policies, and traffic laws.

You will serve as a trusted point of contact for patients, their families, healthcare providers, and dispatch while delivering exceptional customer service throughout each transport.
