Job summary

The Terraces at Lawrence is seeking a full-time Van Driver to transport residents to medical appointments and other approved destinations. You will ensure safe, courteous, and timely transportation in facility vehicles, with a focus on resident comfort and safety.

Requirements include being 18+, holding a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and the ability to pass a background check. The role offers daily pay and a flex shift with benefits to support our elderly residents.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years with valid driver's license.
• Clean driving record and safe driving practices required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience transporting patients to medical appointments.
• Ability to interact professionally and compassionately with residents, families, staff, and the public.
• Pass a criminal background check.
• Strong desire to work with elderly population.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport residents to and from medical appointments in facility vehicles.
• Assist residents in and out of the vehicle while ensuring safety and comfort.
• Maintain a clean, safe vehicle following safety standards.
• Follow traffic laws, safety regulations, and transportation policies.
• Conduct routine vehicle checks and report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Maintain timely transportation schedules and communicate delays to staff.
• Provide courteous interaction with residents, families, staff, and medical providers.
• Ensure resident safety and well-being during transport.

Guided by our core values of Passion, Respect, and Excellence, the Van Driver is responsible for transporting residents to and from medical appointments and other approved destinations safely, courteously, and in a timely manner.

Responsibilities for Van Driver

• Safely transport residents to and from medical appointments and approved destinations in facility vehicles.
• Assist residents in and out of the vehicle as needed while ensuring safety and comfort.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and operational vehicle in accordance with facility and safety standards.
• Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and facility transportation policies.
• Conduct routine vehicle checks and promptly report any maintenance or safety concerns.
• Maintain timely transportation schedules and communicate any delays or concerns to the appropriate staff.
• Provide courteous and respectful interaction with residents, families, staff, and medical providers.
• Ensure resident safety and well-being during all phases of transport.

Qualifications for Van Driver

• Must be 18 years of age or older with a valid driver’s license.
• Must have a clean driving record and demonstrate safe driving practices.
