Job summary

Care Initiatives is hiring a Van Driver for our Manly Specialty Care location in Iowa. The role involves transporting residents to appointments, helping them board and exit the vehicle, and maintaining safety and reliability in daily operations.

Candidates must be at least 21, hold a Class D license, have clean driving history, and be CPR/First Aid certified or willing to obtain certification. Competitive benefits and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid Driver’s License with Class D – Chauffeur Endorsement.
• No more than 2 traffic violations within the last 3 years.
• No previous driving under the influence convictions.
• CPR and first aid certification or willingness to accomplish.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport residents to medical appointments, outings, and special events.
• Assist residents with boarding and exiting the van, including wheelchair securement.
• Follow schedules and coordinate timely pick-ups and drop-offs.
• Observe residents during transport and report concerns to nursing staff.
• Complete incident reports and communicate with supervisors as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-functioning vehicle (fuel, fluids, basic supplies).
• Coordinate vehicle maintenance and service needs.
• Communicate daily with nursing and facility teams.
• Build positive relationships with residents, families, and staff.
• Maintain reliable attendance and work flexible hours, including weekends.
