Job summary

Ferguson Enterprises, LLC is seeking a Valve Technician to assemble automated valve packages, test and troubleshoot in-house and on-site, and support customer service efforts across our nationwide network. This role demands attention to safety, ability to read schematics, and strong teamwork.

The position offers a Monday–Friday schedule with competitive pay starting at $22 per hour and opportunities for higher pay based on experience. Some travel and occasional driver duties may be required.

Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years experience preferred but not required.
  • Safety release Valve and other valve & actuator experience preferred.
  • Must be at least 21 years old with a valid state license.
  • DOT standards and regulations must be followed.
  • Must maintain a valid DOT Medical card.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble automated packages following SOPs and maintain a safe workspace.
  • Set up, use and maintain tools and equipment in the automation center.
  • Interact professionally with inside/outside sales, management and warehouse staff.
  • Address customer questions and concerns about automated packages.
  • Troubleshoot packages in-house and in the field for repairs.
  • Contribute to developing automated valve sales training program.
  • Perform functional valve testing and record data.
  • Coordinate with inspectors to meet customer demands.
  • Willing to travel up to 25-40%; overnight stays may be required.
  • Possible driver duties and responsibilities.

Shift: Monday thru Friday 8am to 5pm

Pay: Starting at $22 per hr, can pay higher based on experience

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for assembly of all automated packages
  • Follow all established standard operating procedures for valve automation including maintaining a safe and organized workspace and observing necessary safety precautions during assembly, testing, storage, and transfer of product
  • Follow all proper procedures for set up, use and maintenance of tools, and equipment in the automation center
  • Courteous interaction and communication with inside and outside sales, management, and warehouse personnel
  • Professional interaction with customers when addressing questions and concerns about automated packages
  • Troubleshoot automated packages, in house and in the field, to perform necessary work and repairs
  • Assist with developing automated valve sales training program
  • Perform functional automated valve testing, record, and store data
  • Work closely with inspectors to meet customer demands
  • Willingness to travel up to 25-40% is required. Travel may include overnight stays for field service projects and support at other Ferguson locations
  • May be responsible for providing driver duties and responsibilities
Qualifications
  • 3 to 5 years experience is preferred but not required
  • Safety release Valve, other valve & actuator industrial experience highly preferred
  • Must be at least 21 years of age. Valid state issued license is required.
  • Follow all DOT standards and regulations
  • Must currently have, acquire, and/or maintain a valid DOT Medical card in order to meet driver requirements.
  • Basic knowledge of computers
  • Ability to read and understand customer technical data and schematics
  • Ability to multi-task and meet order deadlines
  • Knowledge of shipping, receiving, and inventory control
  • Be goal oriented, self-motivated, and able to meet deadlines, build relationships, and enjoy a team atmosphere

- Pay Range: - $16.53 - $29.22 - Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles. - This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible. - Ferguson complies with all wage regulations.
