Job summary

Ferguson Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a Valve Technician to assemble and test automated valve packages in a safety-focused shop environment. The role requires troubleshooting, field support, and occasional travel up to 25% to service locations.

You will interact with sales, management, and customers, adhere to DOT standards, and contribute to training and continuous improvement across the automation center. Starting pay is competitive with benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid state issued license is required.
• DOT standards and regulations must be followed.
• Must maintain a valid DOT Medical card.
• 3–5 years experience preferred, but not required.
• Valve & actuator industrial experience highly preferred.
• Basic knowledge of computers.
• Ability to read customer technical data and schematics.
• Ability to multi-task and meet order deadlines.
• Knowledge of shipping, receiving, and inventory control.
• Positive attitude with strong communication and time management.
• Self-motivated, results oriented and team player.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs for valve automation and maintain a safe workspace.
• Set up, use, and maintenance of tools and equipment in the automation center.
• Courteous interaction with inside/outside sales, management, and warehouse personnel.
• Interact with customers regarding automated packages.
• Troubleshoot automated packages, in-house and field, to perform repairs.
• Help develop automated valve sales training program.
• Perform functional automated valve testing, record and store data.
• Work closely with inspectors to meet customer demands.
• Travel up to 25% may be required, including overnight field service.
• May be responsible for providing driver duties and responsibilities.

Shift & Pay

Shift: Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:30pm Pay: Starts at $23 per hour and could be more based on experience

Responsibilities

• Responsible for assembly of all automated package.
• Follow all established standard operating procedures for valve automation including maintaining a safe and organized workspace and observing necessary safety precautions during assembly, testing, storage, and transfer of product.
• Follow all proper procedures for set up, use and maintenance of tools, and equipment in the automation center.
• Courteous interaction and communication with inside and outside sales, management, and warehouse personnel.
• Professional interaction with customers when addressing questions and concerns about automated packages.
• Troubleshoot automated packages, in house and in the field, to perform necessary work and repairs.
• Assist with developing automated valve sales training program.
• Perform functional automated valve testing, record, and store data.
• Work closely with inspectors to meet customer demands.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% is required. Travel may include overnight stays for field service projects and support at other Ferguson locations.
• May be responsible for providing driver duties and responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.

• Must currently have, acquire, and/or maintain a valid DOT Medical card in order to meet driver requirements.
• 3 to 5 years experience is preferred but not required.
• Valve & actuator industrial experience highly preferred.
• Basic knowledge of computers.
• Ability to read and understand customer technical data and schematics.
• Ability to multi-task and meet order deadlines.
• Knowledge of shipping, receiving, and inventory control.
• Be goal oriented, self-motivated, and able to meet deadlines, build relationships, and enjoy a team atmosphere.

• - Pay Range: - $19.15 - $39.28 - Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.
• - This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
