Job summary

Ferguson Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a Valve Technician to support assembly and testing of automated valve packages. The role requires safe workflow practices, adherence to procedures, and collaboration with sales, management and warehouse teams. Expect travel up to 25% for field projects.

Starting pay is $23 per hour with potential increases based on experience. The schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:30am–4:30pm, in a fast-paced environment within a leading plumbing and HVAC distributor network.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid state license required.
• Comply with DOT standards and regulations.
• Maintain a DOT Medical card for driver requirements.
• 3–5 years experience preferred but not required.
• Valve & actuator experience preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Able to read customer data and schematics.
• Able to multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of shipping, receiving and inventory control.
• Positive attitude and team orientation.

Responsibilities

• Assemble automated packages following standard procedures and maintain safe workspace.
• Set up, use and maintain tools and equipment in the automation center.
• Interact courteously with inside/outside sales, management and warehouse staff.
• Address customer questions and provide professional service for automated packages.
• Troubleshoot packages in-house and in the field for repairs.
• Assist in developing automated valve sales training.
• Perform functional testing and record data.
• Coordinate with inspectors to meet customer demands.
• Travel up to 25% as needed for field projects.

Shift: Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:30pm
Pay: Starts at $23 per hour and could be more based on experience

Responsibilities

• Responsible for assembly of all automated package
• Follow all established standard operating procedures for valve automation including maintaining a safe and organized workspace and observing necessary safety precautions during assembly, testing, storage, and transfer of product
• Follow all proper procedures for set up, use and maintenance of tools, and equipment in the automation center
• Courteous interaction and communication with inside and outside sales, management, and warehouse personnel
• Professional interaction with customers when addressing questions and concerns about automated packages
• Troubleshoot automated packages, in house and in the field, to perform necessary work and repairs
• Assist with developing automated valve sales training program
• Perform functional automated valve testing, record, and store data
• Work closely with inspectors to meet customer demands
• Willingness to travel up to 25% is required. Travel may include overnight stays for field service projects and support at other Ferguson locations
• May be responsible for providing driver duties and responsibilities

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Valid state issued license is required.
• Follow all DOT standards and regulations
• Must currently have, acquire, and/or maintain a valid DOT Medical card in order to meet driver requirements.
• 3 to 5 years experience is preferred but not required
• Valve & actuator industrial experience highly preferred
• Basic knowledge of computers
• Ability to read and understand customer technical data and schematics
• Ability to multi-task and meet order deadlines
• Knowledge of shipping, receiving, and inventory control
• Be goal oriented, self-motivated, and able to meet deadlines, build relationships, and enjoy a team atmosphere
• Possess a positive attitude
• Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills
• A self-motivator and have an ambition to succeed

Benefits and Pay

• Pay Range: - $19.15 - $39.28 - Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.
• - This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
• - Ferguson complies with all wage regulations.
• - The starting wage may be higher in certain locations based on local or state wage requirements.
