Job summary

Ferguson is seeking a Valve Technician in New Castle, PA to assemble automated valve packages and support testing with a strong focus on safety and accuracy. You will work with sales/warehouse teams to ensure quality and timely delivery, reading schematics and customer data to troubleshoot and learn on the job.

The role runs Monday–Friday 7:30am–4pm with overtime as needed. Pay ranges from $16.53 to $24.81 hourly, with a company-wide commitment to equal opportunity employment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot automated packages in-house and in the field for repairs.
• Assist with developing automated valve sales training program.
• Perform functional automated valve testing and record data.
• Collaborate with inspectors to meet customer demands.

Schedule

Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4pm + OT as needed

Responsibilities

• Responsible for assembly of all automated packages
• Follow all established standard operating procedures for valve automation including maintaining a safe and organized workspace and observing necessary safety precautions during assembly, testing, storage, and transfer of product
• Follow all proper procedures for set up, use and maintenance of tools, and equipment in the automation center
• Courteous interaction and communication with inside and outside sales, management, and warehouse personnel
• Professional interaction with customers when addressing questions and concerns about automated packages
• Troubleshoot automated packages, in house and in the field, to perform necessary work and repairs
• Assist with developing automated valve sales training program
• Perform functional automated valve testing, record, and store data
• Work closely with inspectors to meet customer demands

Qualifications

• 0 to 3 years experience is preferred
• Basic knowledge of computers
• Ability to read and understand customer technical data and schematics
• Ability to multi-task and meet order deadlines
• Knowledge of shipping, receiving, and inventory control
• Be goal oriented, self-motivated, and able to meet deadlines, build relationships, and enjoy a team atmosphere
• Possess a positive attitude
• Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills

Pay Range

$16.53 - $24.81

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
