Job summary

Emerson in Sandusky, MI is seeking an Assembly Operator to join our manufacturing team. You will assemble valves and related components using provided materials while meeting customer specifications and deadlines.

You will work with basic blueprints, read BOMs, and calibrate parts to tolerances. The role requires using hand and power tools and collaborating with a team to ensure safe, on-time production.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or 2 years of experience.
• 1 year of experience preferred.
• Ability to produce a quality part at a productive rate.
• Ability to use basic hand tools, as well as electrical pneumatics test fixtures.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Extremely reliable and dependable, with strong teamwork.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided.

Responsibilities

• Assemble product per blueprint and SOP standards.
• Read basic blueprints and understand BOMs and routers.
• Test and calibrate components to meet tolerances and specs.
• Use hand and power tools to assemble per specifications.
• Identify parts that fail tests or tolerances and repair as needed.
• Change over tools, fixtures and test setups.
• Report to Assembly Supervisor and liaise with internal customers and coworkers.
• Follow safety and housekeeping procedures and notify supervisor as needed.
• Perform any additional duties as assigned.
