Job summary

Emerson in Aiken, SC is seeking an Assembler I to join the Assembly team. You will work with the Assembly Supervisor and assemble, test and package valve or actuator components following procedures and operation sheets.

The role emphasizes quality, safe use of hand tools and torque drivers, and teamwork in a dynamic manufacturing environment. A high school diploma and 1 year of assembly experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Set up required equipment and identify production problems.
• Understand quality requirements for assemblies and testing.
• Able to use hand tools, torque drivers, and other equipment safely and accurately.
• Act with integrity, professionalism and positive attitude; must be a team player.

Responsibilities

• Transfer components from staging area to assembly benches.
• Assemble valve or switch components per assembly procedures and/or operation sheets.
• Read and interpret gauges, flow meters, and power supply read-outs to make simple quality judgments.
• Perform testing of completed valves, switches, and assemblies (internal, external, mass spec, functionality).
• Follow safety rules and stop work if unsafe conditions arise; report safety concerns.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by lead or supervisor.
