Job summary

Andersen Corporation is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor (Value Stream Supervisor I) to lead a small value stream from procurement to delivery, driving safety, quality, cost, and customer service improvements. You will coach a multi-skilled team and apply lean principles to boost standard work and 5S practices.

In this role you’ll monitor production schedules, resolve issues, foster continuous improvement, and ensure adherence to company policies while developing associates and maintaining

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing/warehouse operation
• Demonstrated ability to work with and motivate people
• Demonstrated experience implementing continuous improvements
• Previous experience in a manufacturing operation with demonstrated ability to acquire and apply manufacturing principles a plus
• Continuing education in management, human resources, accounting, manufacturing, leadership, and coaching

Responsibilities

• Coach, train, support, and develop a team in accordance with Andersen's values; maintain a respectful work environment
• Review general status of production schedules to identify and resolve problems
• Ensure the desired product quality levels are achieved through standard work and training; review schedules to identify and resolve problems
• Support and implement new, customer-focused processes in accordance with lean principles; provide training to improve standard work and 5S; lead change
• Support and foster an environment of continuous improvement by encouraging associates to challenge existing processes and implement solutions
• Support associates in understanding company policies and practices; take notice of process problems and support corrective action; maintain time and production records
• Communicate with and listen to associates on a daily basis regarding performance, safety, and policy changes; coordinate with other supervisors on equipment and schedules
