Value Stream Supervisor I/II - Now Hiring for Third and Weekend Shifts

The purpose of this position is to support the Plant Manager in driving continuous improvement across a large/complex/changing value stream (procurement to delivery). This role leads efforts to meet targets for safety, quality, costs, customer service, and associate satisfaction/development within the value stream. The supervisor coaches, trains, supports, and develops a team of multi-skilled associates aligned with Andersen Corporation's values, employee covenant, and strategic goals.

  1. Maintain high visibility with associates, using a hands-on approach to communicate daily and involve them in problem solving.
  2. Promote safety and ensure a safe work environment and habits.
  3. Develop a high-performance team with high levels of engagement, morale, satisfaction, and performance.
  4. Create and maintain a respectful work environment by listening, seeking facts, managing reactions, and addressing unacceptable behavior.
  5. Help associates succeed through performance management, coaching, and development.
  6. Ensure product quality through standard work, training, and use of tools/data.
  7. Support and implement customer-focused processes based on lean principles; provide training and coaching.
  8. Foster continuous improvement by encouraging associates to challenge and improve processes.
  9. Support and educate associates on company policies and practices.
  10. Identify process problems and support corrective actions to improve team performance.
  11. Communicate daily with associates regarding performance, initiatives, safety, and quality.
  12. Coordinate with other supervisors and personnel on equipment, safety, schedules, policies, and performance plans.
Qualifications - External
  • 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing operations.
  • Previous experience as a work center lead preferred.
  • Experience in manufacturing with a demonstrated ability to apply manufacturing principles is a plus.
  • Continuing education in management, HR, accounting, manufacturing, leadership, or coaching.
  • Ability to motivate and work with people.
