Job summary

Caterpillar's Wamego, Kansas site is seeking a Value Stream Manager to lead daily manufacturing operations, drive lean initiatives, and deliver safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals.

You will develop teams, manage staffing, and partner with cross-functional teams to optimize production schedules and resource use, with relocation assistance available and onsite work five days a week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or related field.
• Experience leading manufacturing operations or value stream management.
• Strong analytical and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day manufacturing operations across one or more production areas to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
• Manage staffing, employee development, performance management, and succession planning for operations personnel and leadership teams.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to supervisors and operational teams to drive engagement and performance.
• Ensure production schedules, operational targets, and customer commitments are achieved while maximizing resource use.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, efficiency, quality, safety, and cost reduction.
