Job summary

Price Industries is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee Manufacturing and Service within the Value Stream, driving quality, cost, delivery, safety and continuous improvement across departments. You will lead Lean initiatives, mentor Supervisors, and coordinate with Sales, Engineering and HR to optimize performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Industrial), Supply Chain, or Business preferred.
• Minimum 5 years managing production in discrete manufacturing or VA experience.
• Minimum 5 years of supervision in a high-volume, multi-product environment.
• Experience leading Lean Manufacturing implementations and MRP systems.
• Verifiable success in people and process management.
• Lean Manufacturing training/experience.
• Self-starter with initiative and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to motivate associates and maintain teamwork.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
• Demonstrated leadership and leadership development in large, complex manufacturing environments.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Change management, project execution, quality management, process analysis, problem solving and team-building experience.
• Experience working with diverse stakeholders to achieve positive project outcomes.
• Facilitation experience required.

Responsibilities

• Own the Value Stream(s) and all departments within it.
• Improve efficiency and utilization (productivity) of the Value Stream.
• Ensure product quality and resolve quality issues effectively.
• Manage process and product flow through the Value Stream.
• Ensure on-time delivery and recovery planning for missed deliveries.
• Budget and control costs within budget; drive cost reductions.
• Support gross margin and labour cost of sales targets.
• Standardize processes and drive continuous improvement projects and initiatives.
• Plan capacity/manpower and staffing.
• Define and communicate product acceptance criteria.
• Maintain safety programs and address safety concerns.
• Publish and monitor performance metrics.
• Mentor Supervisors and coordinate with union agreements.
• Represent the Value Stream in meetings and with customers as needed.
• Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, and customers on new products in production.
• Foster morale, pride, and a positive value-stream identity.
• Create an environment for morale, motivation, growth and teamwork to achieve goals.
• Identify opportunities to reduce cost and improve productivity; manage VATs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to implement approved initiatives.
• Coordinate development of initiatives involving products, equipment, and services.
• Develop measurement processes to track consumption and cost savings.
• Research best practices and new products for cost-effective improvements.
• Analyze trends in product utilization and report opportunities and outcomes.
• Serve as point of contact for assessment, analysis, and reporting programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
