Job summary

The Gund Company in Walnut, CA is seeking a Value Stream Manager to oversee the order fulfillment process from quoting through shipping and invoicing. You will lead plant personnel, coordinate production operations, and drive continuous improvement across assembly, machining, processing, and packaging to meet safety, quality, on-time delivery, and profit goals.

You will develop budgets, monitor costs, and implement visual management and lean practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field and four years of management experience.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of Quality Concepts (e.g., SPC, Six Sigma) and Quality Systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day manufacturing process and continuous improvement efforts.
• Ensure a safe working environment and participate in safety walks and investigations.
• Review cost data to streamline processes and lower manufacturing costs.
• Lead kaizens and train direct reports to lead kaizens and solve problems.
• Manage order fulfillment to meet customer specifications, budget, and profitability.
• Work with plant leadership to set shift schedules and allocate resources.
