Job summary

CARR Machine & Tool, Inc. in Michigan seeks a Value Stream Manager to lead a designated production area, ensuring on-time delivery and high quality. You will coordinate with purchasing, engineering, quality assurance, and logistics to meet area goals and drive continuous improvement in our NN operating system.

You will mentor teams, manage KPIs, promote safety, and lead project start-up efforts within the value stream. A BA/BS and at least five years in manufacturing or operations are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in manufacturing, operations, or supply chain management.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to read and write in English and present to varied audiences.
• Strong problem-solving with data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities

• Lead a designated production area to ensure on-time delivery and quality.
• Coordinate cross-functional support from purchasing, engineering, QA, and logistics.
• Facilitate area meetings and drive continuous improvement.
• Mentor team members and promote improvement ideas.
• Ensure OSHA compliance and a safe work environment.
• Monitor KPIs such as headcount, labor costs, and delivery performance.
• Use manufacturing systems data for cost awareness and analysis.
• Provide timely feedback and performance reviews.
• Lead start-up projects within the value stream.
• Support the QMS and EMS requirements.
