Job summary

IDEX Corporation in Farmington, CT is seeking a Value Stream Manager to lead a key manufacturing value stream, owning the day-to-day performance across safety, quality, delivery, cost, productivity, and people. You will translate goals into daily execution plans and drive accountability through metrics.

You will develop and coach a high‑performing team, applying Lean principles and structured problem solving to remove waste and sustain improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Business, or a related field.
• 7+ years of progressive manufacturing or operations experience with leadership responsibility.
• Experience leading employees in a production or manufacturing environment.
• Experience applying Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.
• Experience working within a cross-functional manufacturing organization.

Responsibilities

• Own the overall day-to-day performance of the assigned value stream, including safety, quality, delivery, cost, productivity, and people.
• Translate operational goals into clear priorities and daily execution plans for the team.
• Lead, coach, and develop employees within the assigned value stream.
• Drive continuous improvement using Lean manufacturing principles and structured problem-solving.
• Maintain a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with established safety requirements and procedures.
• Balance staffing, equipment, and resources to meet production requirements and customer delivery commitments.
